  • Remember each day go on Raz-Kids and read online books for 20 minutes and complete a math addition or subtraction sheet.
  • After reading the story in step 1., the next steps can be completed in any order that works best for your family. The goal is to have all activities done by the end of the week. Students are to spend 5 hours a week on learning. 

This Week’s Focus is Around 2-D Shapes.

 

  1. Listen to the 2-D Shape story online.

     2.  Complete the attached sheet after listening to the book online. Send me a picture in Class Dojo or Email.

     3.  Draw a robot using only 2-d shapes. Write a story about your robot. Take a     picture  and send it to me in Class Dojo or Email. Here are some story starters if you want or feel free to use your own ideas.

  • You were playing in the living room and you hear “BEEP,BEEP,BOOP!” coming from the hallway. You look and see your robot singing and dancing in the hall.
  • Your favourite stuffie is missing and you are sure someone in your family has hidden it. You decide to send your robot on a secret mission

      4.  Complete 2-d shape sheet. Remember that vertices are corners. Send me a picture in Class Dojo or Email.

      5. Do a shape walk around the house and record how many different shapes      you can find. Remember The Greedy Triangle book to help you think of where shapes can be.

 

      6.  Write a journal page in your exercise books about something you have been      doing at home.
