Theme of the Week-Linear measurement

This week we are continuing to learn about and make poems. In Math we are learning about linear measurement. I hope you have a great week!

New Reading Choice:

Challenge yourself to read in different places this week. Read outside, read under a tree, read in a blanket fort, read under a table, and read to a stuffed animal. Can you complete the challenge? Send me a picture of your fun reading spaces!

New Math Choice:

Toss and Add:

Use chalk to draw circles and write numbers 2-9 on the ground. If you do not have chalk or want to play inside. Write the numbers on paper and put on the ground.

Toss 2 bean bags, pinecones, coins, or other objects. Add up the two numbers your object lands on or is closest to. Your partner then tosses the objects and adds up his/her objects. The person with the highest sum gets a point. Continue until one person receives 10 points.
